This Privacy Notice has been prepared by Major Event Entertainment (“the Company”, “we”) in its capacity as data controller under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform. It explains for what purposes and on which legal grounds we process the personal data of visitors to our website, people who submit the quote form, contact us via WhatsApp or email, or apply for casting; to whom that data may be transferred; and your rights under KVKK.

2. Personal Data We Process
Depending on the nature of our relationship, we process the following personal data:
- Identity and contact details: full name, phone number, email address.
- Enquiry details: event type, planned event date, the content of your message and any other information you share in it.
- WhatsApp communication: your WhatsApp profile name, phone number and message content.
- Casting applications: résumé, photographs, performance video, experience and availability details.
- Website usage data: IP address, browser and device information, time of visit, strictly necessary cookies and technical data generated by bot verification (Cloudflare Turnstile).
- Contract and financial details (clients only): invoicing details, payment and collection records.
3. Purposes of Processing
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Receiving and evaluating your quote requests and getting back to you.
- Concluding and performing contracts for event and show production services.
- Managing client relationships and carrying out communication activities.
- Evaluating casting applications and contacting suitable candidates.
- Keeping the website secure and preventing abuse and automated (bot) submissions.
- Fulfilling our legal obligations and providing information to competent authorities.
- Where you have given explicit consent, informing you about campaigns, new concepts and our events.
4. Legal Grounds
Your personal data is processed on the following legal grounds set out in Articles 5 and 6 of KVKK:
- Processing being necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract to which you are a party (KVKK Art. 5/2-c).
- Processing being mandatory for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligations (KVKK Art. 5/2-ç).
- Processing being mandatory for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right (KVKK Art. 5/2-e).
- Processing being mandatory for our legitimate interests, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (KVKK Art. 5/2-f).
- Your explicit consent in cases not covered above, such as commercial electronic messages and transfers abroad (KVKK Art. 5/1).
5. How We Collect Personal Data
Your personal data is collected by partly automated and non-automated means through the quote form on our website, WhatsApp, email and phone calls, casting application channels, communication via our social media accounts and contracting processes. Website usage data is obtained automatically through strictly necessary cookies and the bot verification service.
6. Transfer of Personal Data
Limited to the purposes listed above and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of KVKK, your personal data may be transferred to:
- Venues, suppliers, technical crews and subcontractors we work with to deliver the service (limited to the information needed to run the event).
- Technology providers supplying website hosting, database, email delivery and bot verification services. Their servers may be located abroad; in that case the transfer relies on your explicit consent or on adequate protection recognised by the Board, as required by KVKK Art. 9.
- Courts, enforcement offices and competent public authorities upon request, within the scope of our legal obligations.
- Legal, accounting and audit advisers we engage.
7. Retention Period
We retain your personal data for as long as the processing purpose requires, taking into account statutory limitation periods:
- Quote requests and contact records that do not lead to a contract: 2 years from the last contact.
- Contracts, invoices and correspondence with clients: 10 years after the contract ends (Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098 and Tax Procedure Law No. 213).
- Casting applications: 1 year from the application date; for successful applications, for the duration of the working relationship and any period required by law.
- Website security logs: minimum 1 and maximum 2 years under Law No. 5651.
At the end of these periods your personal data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
8. Your Rights under KVKK
Under Article 11 of KVKK you have the right, by applying to the data controller, to:
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed.
- Request information about the processing if it is.
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose.
- Know the third parties to whom your data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad.
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data.
- Request deletion or destruction of your data under the conditions in Article 7 of KVKK.
- Request that corrections, deletions and destructions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred.
- Object to a result to your detriment arising from analysis carried out exclusively by automated systems.
- Claim compensation for damage suffered due to unlawful processing.
9. How to Apply
You may submit requests regarding your rights in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller: in writing to our address above together with documents verifying your identity, via your registered electronic mail (KEP) address, secure electronic signature or mobile signature, or from the email address you previously provided to us and which is registered in our systems, to —.
Your application will be concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest. If the process incurs an additional cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
10. Cookies
Our website uses only strictly necessary cookies (language preference, session and security) and the technical cookies required by the bot verification service. We do not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent some features from working.
11. Changes
The Company may update this Privacy Notice in line with changes in legislation or in its processing activities. The current version is always published on this page.
